Taipei 101, once the tallest building in the world, can be seen in many parts of the city. Elephant Mountain is one of the best places to view the skyscraper; it's also very popular during New Years as a place to photograph fireworks around the tower.Read More

Jiufen is often known for being the inspiration behind Hayao Miyazaki's film Spirited Away (though Wikipedia states that he denies the claim). Some people call Jiufen the "City of Sadness" because of the film A City of Sadness, filmed in Jiufen. I'd like to call it the "City of Dreams" because of how beautiful it is.Read More
