Italy, Vatican, and Monte Carlo
June 28th - July 1st 2014
I'm excited to talk about Italy! It was amazing, and as with every place I've gone to, I regret not taking more photos.
The first place we went to was Venice.
Gondola ride. The people in striped shirts steered the boat and took us around. They stood the whole time - must've taken awhile to learn how to balance perfectly! I remember them using their feet to push off of walls to take us to a new direction.
After spending the morning and afternoon there, we headed back. The next day, we visited Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance!
I learned about the Colosseum in World History but I never thought I'd actually lay eyes on it. I was amazed at the scale of the place.
Whether you're religious or not, the Vatican is a must-see place. The architecture and art are amazing.
St. Paul's Basilica! To my understanding, this is the biggest or most important church for Catholics.
A trip to Italy wouldn't be complete without seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa! This is a field of sunflowers leading up to it.
There are almost 300 steps inside, but the journey to the top went by quickly. The view up there was beautiful!
Monte Carlo! To me this wasn't a must-see place but it was still interesting.
The beautiful city that is Nice, France.
